Healthy Bananabread

Are you one of those persons who need breakfast to function in the morning but don’t really have the time to fix yourself a decent meal so you just go without or even worse, stuff yourself with a quick not so nutritious snack? If so, this recipe is a lifesaver! It’s chuck full of fibre and vitamins and só easy to make. You can make it on a lazy sunday (won’t take much of your time) and you have yourself a wholesome breakfast for the rest of the week! So without further ado, let’s get to baking.

What you’ll be needing:
– 3 full scoops of Take-A-Whey Whey Protein (for this cake we used Chocolate Hazelnut)
– 3 cups of oats
– 4 ripe bananas
– 100 g dates
– 100 g unsalted almonds
– 1 tablespoon of baking soda
– 1 tablespoon of baking powder
Also:
–  Rectangular cake mould
– Aluminium foil (cover the mould in foil so you can remove the cake super easy when it’s done)

Preheat the oven at 180º degrees. Take a big piece of aluminium foil and cover the bottom of your cake mould and make sure the sides are covered as well and are sticking out (10 cm per side). Start with mashing up your bananas in a large bowl. Than chop the dates and crush your nuts, by hand or in a mixer. We like our cake to have chunky bits in it so we prefer by hand. Add the dates and nuts to the mashed bananas and also the whey protein, oats, baking soda and baking powder. Mix all very well together till you have a nice moist batter. Poor into the mould, right onto the aluminium foil. You can sprinkle some of the almond chunks (if you got any left) onto the cake for a nice finishing touch. Than place the cake into the preheated oven and let it bake for approximately 30 mins. Let cool off and cut into slices so you can grab yourself a piece every morning, or just during the day because it tastes so damn good!
