Protein Waffles

Here at Take-a-whey we love surfing the good ‘ol internet (read Instagram) in search for delicious recipes. Recently we stumbled across Chungah Ree’s Instagram page, “damn_delicious” and through there on over to her amazing website and there we found this very easy but delicious recipe for, one of our favourite breakfasts/desserts in the world, waffles! So you understand that we had to give these babies a try. And of course see how they would end up if we would add just a little bit more protein! Instead of the vanilla extract and 2 cups of oats we went for 1,5 cup of oats and 1,5 scoop of Vanilla Ice Cream Whey Protein. All you need is a blender and a waffle iron and your good to go. Ready? Let’s go!

Make sure to stack up on the following items:
– 1,5 scoop of Take-A-Whey Whey Protein (we used Vanilla Ice Cream)
– 2 cups of cottage cheese
– 1,5 cups of oats
– Pinch of salt
– 6 eggs
For toppings:
– Handfull of blueberries
– Maple syrup

Also:
– Blender
– Waffle iron

The steps are really easy. Put all your ingredients, besides the maple syrup and blueberries, into a mixer. Mix until you have an even batter. Now pour your batter in the waffle maker, wait until well-done, top with maple syrup and/or blueberries (we did both) and your done! Easy peasy, just how we like it. Thanks Chungah & Nick!
